Fascioscapulohumeral Dystrophy (FSHD) is one of a number of uncommon inherited disorders called muscular dystrophies. Muscular dystrophy is a progressive weakening of skeletal muscles and has varying degrees of severity. FSHD mainly affects the face muscles and the muscles around the shoulder and shoulder blade.
