She has established and runs the regular Post-Operative Follow-Up Clinics.
Cath works as a specialist triage clinician for Shoulder referrals,
with expertise in injection therapy and the non-operative management
of Shoulder disorders.
She has developed Physiotherapy Guidelines for other therapists managing
shoulders after surgery.
Cath also runs a busy Sports Therapy practice in Manchester, Altrincham
Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic.
Nicola Kelly, Occupational Therapist Salford Royal
Hospitals, Manchester
Nicola provides pre- and post-operative support for patients undergoing
Shoulder Replacement surgery, ensuring that home support and facilities
are adequate for the return home from hospital after surgery. She also
teaches patients to manage with daily tasks during the rehabilitation
phase whilst the use of the affected arm recovers.
Nicola has written unique informative documents, providing essential
information on sleeping, washing and daily activities for people in slings
after shoulder surgery. These have been included in our Patient Information
Pages. She also has access to many useful aides to assist people recovering from
shoulder surgery and shoulder injuries.

Basketball Team and Trafford Metros Ice Hockey Team, Chief
Physiotherapist at World Series Lacrosse, Manchester, team

She is Hon. Senior Governing Body
Physiotherapist to British Amateur Wrestling Assoc., numerous tours

Helen has an MSc in Sports injury and therapy
and is a member of the Sports Massage Association.

Victoria Dickens, Extended Scope Practitioner Salford Royal
Hospitals, Manchester
Currently working as part of the upper limb team at Hope Hospital.
Qualified in 1993 from Pinderfields College of physiotherapy. She
worked at Rotherham until 2000, then moved to Bolton where she worked
for 1 year and started in Salford in September 2002 as a Clinical
Specialist Physiotherapist. Graduated from Sheffield Hallam University
with an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy in 2002. Her interests include
research, evidence based practice and am in the process of doing a
Cochrane review. Her clinical interests are shoulders, knees, sports
injuries and end stage rehabilitation.
