Description
This course is aimed at rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine clinicians, therapists and other clinicians with an interest in shoulder ultrasound scanning. It is aimed at those who have no or little experience of shoulder ultrasound scanning. The invited faculty includes experts from the fields of orthopaedic surgery, physiotherapy, sports medicine and radiology, all experienced in shoulder ultrasound. The course will incorporate lectures and hands-on skills sessions. Participants will gain an overview of the basics of ultrasound and it's application in shoulder disorders and injury. Identification of both normal and pathological lesions will be covered, clinical relevance and the role of office ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections of the shoulder. There is a high ratio of faculty to participants, ensuring maximum hands-on experience and allowing plenty of opportunity for participation and discussion. Early application is recommended in order to avoid disappointment, as places are limited.
