This is a one day course designed to advance delegates skills of shoulder ultrasound scanning.

This course is aimed at rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine clinicians, therapists and other clinicians with some experience of shoulder ultrasound scanning. It is aimed at those who have already gained some experience of shoulder ultrasound scanning and have been on either the Introductory Shoulder or Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course.

The invited faculty includes experts from the fields of orthopaedic surgery, physiotherapy, sports medicine and radiology. All are experienced level 3 practitioners in shoulder ultrasound.

There are few lectures on the course, with emphasis on hands-on skills sessions. Emphasis is on pathology recognition, diagnostic accuracy, ultrasound guided injections and interventions.

There is a high ratio of faculty to participants, ensuring maximum hands-on experience and allowing plenty of opportunity for participation and discussion.

Real patients will be utilised, with a range of pathologies. Each delegate will scan every patient under supervision, with one-on-one feedback.
